Overview:

The Account Representative 2 coordinates the customer service process for assigned complex middle market to large commercial property & casualty customers, in close coordination with the Account Executive.  This position affords the opportunity to positively impact the customer experience by providing top-notch customer service and technical support as a vital member of the client service team.  

Highlights of responsibilities include:
- Assist in the development and administration of customer service plans and risk financing plan recommendations, including preparing specifications to market coverage and pricing to carriers.
- Communicate with customers and carriers, including explaining less complex coverages, sending documents, and following up on outstanding data or documents.
- Respond to customer and prospect inquires and requests for information.
- Prepare and/or review and analyze technical documents to assure accuracy and completeness.
- Input and maintain accuracy and completeness of policy management systems and files.
- Daily contact with underwriters to assist in resolving account servicing and marketing issues. 
- Assist in the development of presentations to customers and prospects.
- May accompany Account Executive and/or Sales Executive to customer meetings.
- May assist with developing and implementing claims handling instructions and loss control programs.
- May assist with calculating collateral and loss fund requirements. 
- Routine invoicing and tracking receivables.
- May assist in workflow improvement efforts.
- May provide technical guidance to less experienced Insurance Assistants and Account Representatives.

To be successful in this role, you will take initiative to meet customer needs and complete recurring assignments independently, supporting a team of Sales and Account Executives.

 

Basic Qualifications
2+ years designated line of insurance experience.

 

Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail to ensure document accuracy. Able to follow policies, procedures and regulations. Good verbal and written communications skills. Able to work effectively in a team environment. Strong customer service skills. Insurance license for designated insurance line required within 6 months of hire, considering state law restrictions. Microsoft Office Suite experience required.

 

- 2+ yrs in a related insurance role.
- Will obtain Property & Casualty insurance license required by state as a condition
   of employment.
- Working knowledge of insurance products
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to assure document accuracy.
- Strong math, communication and customer service skills. 
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Intermediate level data entry and computer skills including MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.  Must be able to locate data on systems and records.

 

Preferred Skills
- High School Diploma
- 5 years related insurance experience.
- Currently holds Property & Casualty insurance license required by state in good
  standing.      
- Pursuing professional designation such as ACSR, CISR or CIC certification.
